By utilizing innovative Bluetooth Technology, CareBand will create a wristband that tracks the distance and location of an Alzheimer’s patient from his/her caregiver through a smartphone application. Should the patient wearing the wristband venture too far away, a push notification and sound will alert the caregiver using the smartphone application.  If the patient cannot be found, the application will serve as a tracker with GPS capabilities.
